PROJECTS FOR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

Project |01 Tall Tales

This two-part unit uses dramatic activities to explore two Tall Tales of the Northeastern and Midwestern US: Mose Humphries, one of New York City's first firemen; and Paul Bunyan, the lumberjack, who scoured the wilderness of the Midwest with his best friend, Babe the Blue Ox.

Project |02 R-E-S-P-E-C-T!

This five-part unit merges the concepts of drama and character education. This unit contains dramatic activities, children's literature, and creative writing exercises that aid in teaching students about respect in four ways: Self-Respect, Respect for Others, Respect for Our Communities, and Respect for Our World.

Project |03 I Wanna Be A Mime!

This three- part mini-unit introduces elementary school students to mime techniques, drawn from the minds of Marcel Marceau and  Tony Montanaro. This unit explores three elements of creating a scene using mime: character, environment, and action. By the unit's end, students will create their own mime-inspired scenes.
